Dr Antonio Martinez, Ph.D. is Owner and Director for Asset Integrity Management and Corrosion Control (AIMACC), in Spain. Graduated from Simon Bolivar University (Venezuela) with Chemical Engineer Degree and obtained his Doctorate in Physics-Chemistry & Corrosion from Dijon University (France). He has been working as Materials and Corrosion Engineer in Venezula, As Cathodic Protection Engineer in ADMA and Saudi Aramco as Senior Corrosion Engineer and CP Specialist. Before forming his own Company AIMACC in 2016, he worked at Rumaila Operating Organization-Iraq as Senior Corrosion Engineer.
Antonio has over 35 years of experience in corrosion prevention and corrosion control, CP in congested areas, jetties, pipelines, storage tanks, troubleshooting and maintenance of CP systems, protective coatings, investigation of corrosion related failures, downhole and offshore corrosion studies, corrosion inhibition selection and implementation programs, and development of corrosion management systems and strategies in: degassing stations, flowlines, offshore assets, water treatment plants and downhole equipment.
Author of publications in the field of CP, pipelines integrity, inhibitors selection, microbiological corrosion and research in reactivity of solids. He is also a NACE Fellow for more than 30 years, NACE CP Specialist, and recipient of the 2010 Award Outstanding Contribution Corrosion Advancement, UAE.
